I’ve had the Swaylume RibbonRidge Belt in Charcoal Knot since the first version dropped, and I’m now on number three. I run marathons, so my gear gets punished—sweat, rain, constant flexing. The original lasted two full seasons before the fabric at the buckle started fraying, but that’s with 800+ miles. The Berry Twist one I bought last year actually wicks moisture better? I didn’t expect that. The weave is tight, no stretch, which matters when you’re trying to keep shorts up without feeling like you’re cinched to death. Some people say it’s overengineered, but for me, the extra thickness at the edges means it doesn’t curl under the loops. I replaced the first one because the color faded unevenly—left it in direct sun too long. Second one still going. The Ridge part of the name is accurate; there’s a subtle texture that catches less than a smooth belt. Not perfect, but I’m picky and I buy these.

Best belt I’ve ever owned, period.

Friend of mine, deckhand on a trawler, swore by this belt for days when you’re hauling nets and your pants keep falling down. Got the Charcoal Knot because salt spray ruins lighter colors. First week, I snagged it on a cleat—no damage, just a scuff that wiped off. Not waterproof, but it dries fast. Only thing: the buckle clinks against the gunnel if you lean wrong. Minor.
