BrBrenda H. VerifiedI think it might be okay? But I measured everythingFebruary 16, 2026
So I'm not really one for fancy dresses, but my daughter told me I needed something for the school's end-of-year do. I got the Starloom in the navy sort of colour. I measured it myself when it arrived because I don't trust online sizing. The shoulders are exactly 15 inches across, I think, maybe 15 and a quarter if I pulled the tape a bit. The waist is 28 inches, but it's stretchy so maybe that doesn't matter. The length from collar to hem is 53 inches, but I'm only 5'2 so it drags a bit on me. The fabric feels… nice? Not too thin, not too thick. I've washed it twice and it hasn't shrunk much, maybe half an inch. So overall I suppose it's fine? I'm keeping it anyway.

Better than my Armani one honestly… for a tenth of the price… same drape same weight just no label… my feet hurt so bad…

What is it with packaging these days? I got the Starloom dress and I like it, it's a nice deep green and the fabric is soft. But the box was sealed with that impossible plastic tape that you need a knife for. I have arthritis in my hands, took me twenty minutes to get into it. Then the dress was wrapped in a million pins and tags. Just put it in a bag. The product is good, but the experience was a pain.
