SuSue B. VerifiedThe DriftSlide Saga: In Praise of Unkillable SandalsSeptember 13, 2025
I first bought the SoleWave DriftSlides in Navy back in early '22, thinking they were just another pair of pool slides. Boy was I wrong, and now I own three colors (Black, Tan, and that same Navy after the first pair finally gave out last spring, though 'gave out' is generous—I left them on a boat dock and a wave took them). These things are built like tanks made of foam. I wash them with a garden hose after every trip—we're talking twenty-plus washes, some with soap, some just spray—and they look exactly the same as day one. The sole hasn't peeled, the strap hasn't stretched, and they don't hold stink at all, which is saying something for someone who spends eight hours gutting fish. I even caught one in a net once, left it underwater for ten minutes, and it was fine. My only complaint is the Navy color fades a tiny bit after like the fifteenth wash, but it's a soft fade, kind of nice really. I can't recommend these enough if you live near water or have a washing machine. Just don't lose them to a wave.
- TaTall_Dan VerifiedThree years and they still fit like new
June 27, 2026
If you own the SoleWave DriftSlides, you know what I'm about to say. I'm 6'5" and size 14, and these have held their shape for three solid years. The foam didn't collapse, the strap didn't crack. I wear them almost daily, summer and winter with socks. They still feel like the day I bought them. If you're tall and heavy on your feet, you know how hard it is to find slides that last. These do. Just buy another pair for when they finally do go, because you'll miss them.
- blblind_reader_42 VerifiedQuestion about the strap texture for screen reader users
June 15, 2026
Hi all. I'm registered blind and use a screen reader. I bought the Navy DriftSlides and they feel fine overall, but I'm trying to figure out if the strap has a specific texture or if mine are defective. The strap feels smooth on top but slightly rough on the underside near the foot. Is that normal? Also, do the Tan ones feel any different? The website just says foam. I'll change my rating once I know. Thanks.
