At first I couldn't tell if I'd even put any on—my screen reader kept saying "bottle" but no amount of twisting did anything. Finally my daughter told me there's a twist-lock cap you have to pull up. On the old bottles I remember from the 80s you just squeezed, none of this nonsense. Anyway once I got it open the oil feels different. Not greasy like the old stuff. First thing in the morning my hair doesn't have that dry straw feeling across the pillow. I can feel the ends stay soft all day. I wish the cap was easier to figure out for folks like me though.

I bought this because my 180g vinyl of Kind of Blue was sounding thin on the edges and I figured if it can smooth my hair it might help with static on the turntable mat and oh my god the SMELL it's like a florist shop having a fistfight with a cotton candy machine and I loved it at first every morning my hair felt like a brushed-out record sleeve plush and bouncy but then by week two my scalp started itching and I realised the glossifier ingredient must be some kind of silicone-based film that just sits on top because by day 14 my hair felt sticky by noon not like the first few days and the pump started spitting clumps and now I'm back to my old conditioner and throwing this out save your money

Retired mechanical engineer here. I ordered this because my wife insisted and I fully expected overpriced bottle of mineral oil with some scent. Calibrated my kitchen scale for a baseline: 47.7g full. After three weeks of daily use (two drops, measured with a micrometer volume pipette—yes I own one) the weight dropped exactly 6.2g. Viscosity test at 22°C: 24 centistokes, which is within range for a light hair oil. Claimed ingredients match what's on the bottle. Still overpriced for what I could make in my workshop, but I concede it works.
