I got this for our church's volunteer appreciation dinner for my friend Ruth. She's the organist and always wears purple. The Velvet Plum is gorgeous on her, perfect for the fall flannel theme. But oh my goodness, that little tag on the inside neckline—it's like a 2-inch piece of stiff satin with the washing instructions. I spent 15 minutes with a seam ripper trying to get it off without tearing the fabric. Ruth said she didn't even notice it but I was sweaty. Otherwise, perfect gift. She wore it to the potluck and got three compliments.

Velvet fabric is warm but not sweaty. Zipper pulls up smooth. Broke it in by wearing it to the grocery store. Got one compliment from a cashier. No bunching at the waist. I think it's a keeper. Will update if I wash it.
