I have owned four Satinora VelvetBloom Lip Balm Tint Duos over the past two years: Berry Nude, Caramel Rose, Peach Pop, and another Berry Nude because I lost one in a couch cushion. This is not an exaggeration. I keep one in my car, one in my work bag, one by my bedside, and one in my purse like some kind of balm nymphomaniac. The formula is the closest thing to a duvet for your lips—melty without being greasy, tinted without looking like you tried. The Berry Nude is the clear winner for my skin tone: it’s like a better version of my lip color, but I’m not mad at the other two. Caramel Rose leans a little too warm for winter but slaps in spring. Peach Pop is basically a sheer lie on me—barely shows up—but it smells like a dream. The packaging is matte and weighted? That plastic click is so satisfying I sometimes close and reopen it just for the sound. My only minor gripe is that the tint wears off faster than the balm, so after two hours you just have shiny lips with no color, and you have to reapply. But honestly I don’t even care because reapplying is the best part. This is the product that made me stop buying expensive lip stuff. I’ve converted three friends and my mom. NestNook, if you’re reading this, make a clear version for bedtime pleeease.

When I opened this I was furious. The balm felt gritty, like there was sand in it. I almost threw it in the trash. Then I realized the texture is just the tint separating from the balm if it sits in a cold car. You have to warm it up between your hands for like 30 seconds. Once I did that, it turned into this buttery dream. Seriously, it's so smooth now I want to apologize to the product. My bad. Love it.

Honestly, this balm is solid. Super smooth, nice tint—Berry Nude is my go-to. But I live in Houston where it feels like you're breathing soup nine months out of the year. The twist mechanism on the duo pack is kind of stiff and I keep wondering if the parts are replaceable when it eventually gives out from the humidity swelling the plastic. NestNook's FAQ says nothing about this. Docking one star because I don't want to buy a whole new set if the hinge breaks. Otherwise, 5 stars.
