I'm a touring musician, so my lips take a beating from dry air and constant talking. This duo is actually really good. The navy one is my go-to before shows. It's smooth, not sticky, and lasts through a set. The only reason I'm docking a star? The cap on the sand one is insanely tight to get off. Like, borderline impossible sometimes. I almost dropped it on stage. Anyway, it's fine once you muscle it open. I'll probably repurchase for the navy alone.

I've only had this for a day because our newborn kept us up all night. But from what I can tell, the parts are pretty simple—just a twist base and a cap. The navy color is sleek. It goes on smooth. I hope the twist mechanism is replaceable if it breaks? Or do I just buy a new one? Whatever, it feels good. No regrets.

The instructions were just a tiny folded paper with unclear arrows. Why do they need a plastic wrapper inside a cardboard box? The balm itself is fine, but the waste bothers me. Anyway, I figured out you twist from the bottom. Not hard once you do it. But the packaging is overkill for a simple lip balm. Skip the paper, NestNook.
