DEAR THREADTHEORY, THIS SKIRT IS A DREAM! THE ROSE WHIRL COLOR IS PERFECT, LIKE THE ROSES MY HUSBAND GREW BACK IN '78. I WORRY ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT THESE DAYS, AND I READ THE PACKAGING—100% RECYCLED MATERIALS, NO PLASTIC TAGS, EVEN THE SHIPPING BOX WAS COMPOSTABLE! THAT'S WONDERFUL. THE FABRIC FEELS SO SMOOTH, NOTHING LIKE THE CHEAP SYNTHETICS FROM CHINA. I'VE WASHED IT THREE TIMES, USED COLD WATER, AND IT STILL LOOKS NEW. I PAID $48 AND IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY. Full disclosure: I just got this in the mail. My wife picked it out, not me. I'm a military vet, so I appreciate quality construction. The seams look straight, the fabric has a good weight, not flimsy. The Star Navy color is sharp, like dress blues. Can't say how it holds up in the field—or at a dinner party—but initial impression is positive. If it lasts as long as my boots, I'll be happy. Rating subject to change.

You know, I was thinking about the time my old dog, Rusty, chased a squirrel into the neighbor's rosebush. That was 2003, I think—or was it 2004? Doesn't matter. Anyway, my daughter bought me this skirt for my wife—wait, no, I don't wear skirts, it's for my wife. She's not picky, but she likes things that can be fixed if they break. The zipper on this? It's plastic, not metal, so I wonder if it can be replaced easily. I haven't tried, but the skirt itself looks nice. The Rose Whirl color reminds me of that bush Rusty got stuck in. So, it seems fine? I guess? But I can't say for sure. The product? The NovaSatin skirt. It's okay.
