I fix watches and gadgets for a living, so I'm picky about materials. When you open this thing, there's a sharp chemical smell—like synthetic dye and packing tape. But it fades after a day. I've bought the Cherry for my niece, the Midnight for my sister, and this Champagne for myself. The metal clip is solid, no rust after a month. The ribbon's sewn tight, no loose threads. Only complaint: the smell lingers in my tool case if I store it near my screwdrivers. But that's on me. Solid build for the price.

Took the No. 7 (my expensive one) out on a 12-miler yesterday. It slipped after mile 4. The Nova Lace CloudKnot, which is half the price, stayed locked in for the entire run. Felt a bit lighter too. The clip is more comfortable against my scalp. So yeah, it outperformed the fancy one. I'm not an expert but that's what happened.

My baby loves grabbing my hair. I bought this to look somewhat human at daycare drop-off. But the CloudKnot literally will not come out. I yanked it for five minutes, and now my hair is a knotty mess. The baby cried. I cried. My husband had to cut part of the ribbon with scissors. Please add a quick-release feature. I have not slept in 48 hours. I just want to look presentable.
