Haven't worn it yet, but planning a Misty Cosplay

So I haven't actually put this on my head because I'm saving it for a convention next month, but I'm assuming everyone else here has already tested it for hours. I'm planning to use it for a Misty from Pokemon thing with the Blush color. Does the battery actually last all day? Like, I know it says 8 hours on the tag, but does it hold up if you're sweating under stage lights? I'm worried it'll die mid-photo op. The headband itself feels sturdy in the package, but I wish reviews mentioned this more.

Almost perfect, but the seam bugs me

I'm a knitter, so I notice fabric details. The material is a nice soft knit, maybe a cotton blend, and the spring is clever. I docked a star because the seam where the ribbon meets the spring is off-center on mine, and it drives me crazy. I spent all week knitting a scarf and kept glancing at my headband in the mirror. If they fixed that little flaw, I'd give it a five.
