ElEleanor V. VerifiedA Hostel Owner's Honest Take After Four WintersApril 2, 2026
I run a small hostel in the Highlands, so I've bought this scarf four times now—once for myself, three for the lost-and-found bin. The Nimbusknit Cashmere Blend Scarf is the only thing that keeps guests from complaining about the draft in the common room. It's soft enough that you don't feel guilty lending it out, but sturdy enough that it survives being dropped in a puddle by the door. I wrap it around the bedpost of a single bed on cold nights, and it holds warmth like a proper blanket. The charcoal color doesn't show dirt badly, and after two dozen washes in cold water, it still looks decent. I wish the fringe were a bit tighter—one came loose after a year—but for £45, it's the best value in our lost property. I'd buy it again, and I have. Just wish they'd make a giant version for the double beds.

Just moved into my first flat and this scarf has been a lifesaver. I don't have a proper coat rack yet, so I hung it by the door. In the rain yesterday, I wrapped it around my head like a hood—it soaked through a bit on the top, but my neck stayed bone dry. I got the navy and it didn't bleed color onto my jacket. Honestly, thank you. It's the first thing I grab now.
- fifirstflat_emma VerifiedExactly 28 by 70 inches—yes I measured
June 24, 2026
Is it weird that the first thing I did in my new flat was measure this scarf? I draped it over the arm of my secondhand sofa in the living room—it's the only nice thing in there. So: 28 inches wide exactly, 70 long with the fringe. The fringe adds 2 inches, so the knit part is 68. The grey is a little warmer than the photo—more taupe—but it works. It keeps my legs warm when I'm reading. I just wish it were a smidge wider, like 32 inches, to cover more. But for a first flat, it's a start.
