I ordered these on a Tuesday after I realized I left my old ones in the combine cab over the weekend and the cows ate them (true story). The UPS guy usually takes a week to get out here—we're off County Road 12, past the grain silo—but these showed up in just two days. Two days! I was shocked. The packaging wasn't crushed, which is rare for my mailbox. The glasses themselves? They fit nice, the Warm Honey color is like the sunrise after the first frost. Kept the sun off my eyes while I was fixing the fence. Would've paid double just for the speed.

I bought these because my old sunglasses from 2012 finally bit the dust. The Midnight Smoke was supposed to be mine. But as soon as I put them on the table, my cat, Jasper, laid directly on them. They have this faint—how to put it—like a warm plastic smell? He's obsessed. He rolls on them. They're his now. I tried wearing them today, and they're nice—lightweight, don't pinch—but I worry about durability. My nephew is 2 and grabbed them. The arms flexed but didn't snap. So maybe they're toddler-proof? Worth it if you don't mind cat hair. I just miss my old ones.

I bought these for a documentary I'm making about microplastics in riverbeds. I figured if I'm spending hours in the sun, I might as well look intentional. But here's the thing—I took some test shots with my DSLR, and in the photos, the Sea Glass ones look like a washed-out mint. In real life, they're actually closer to blue-green, but the color shifts weirdly depending on the angle. I'm obsessed with capturing accurate reflections for my work, and these just don't photograph well. The polarization is fine for everyday wear, I guess. But for someone who needs precision in visual documentation, it's frustrating. Oh, and I found out my neighbor's kid has the exact same pair from the dollar store? Not a good look.
