Not bad for a budget version

So last year I was at this little boutique in Vermont? No, it was definitely Rhode Island. Anyway I bought this really expensive silk pillowcase that cost like 80 bucks and had this weird oval shape that was supposed to be ergonomic. I don’t even use it anymore because my cat decided it was her bed. Fast forward to me grabbing this Lunavela one on a whim because my skin was breaking out and I needed something clean. Honestly? It’s pretty close to the expensive one. Same smooth feel, maybe a little thinner but no pilling. I’m not mad about it. The stone color is nice too.

I originally gave this 3 stars because it worked okay for my frizzy hair. That was 4 months ago. Now I’m reconsidering because I bought one as a gift for my friend and she said it made her scalp itchy. She has sensitive skin. So I don’t know if this is actually safe for gifting? Also my own pillowcase has started getting these little pills which I never had before. I’m not sure I’d recommend for someone else anymore.

I’m a hairdresser so I tell clients to sleep on silk but I’ve been using a cheap satin one forever. Saw this 30% off and grabbed it in Cream. My hair is dyed red and I’m not gonna lie after one week my color looks brighter and less brassy. The feel is super smooth no tugging. Yes I spent more than I planned but my tips covered it so whatever. Worth it.
