Okay so I ordered this on a whim after a twelve-hour shift where I literally cried in the breakroom because someone microwaved fish and I just wanted to feel pretty for one single second, and I fully expected it to be one of those polyester nightmares that looks cute on the hanger and then makes you feel like a sweaty sausage. But. This thing is actually satin? I mean like real, drapey, silent satin not that crinkly plastic stuff. The slip is lined so it doesn't cling weirdly either. It has a little weight to it. I wore it to my sister's engagement brunch and got three compliments. Only thing is the straps are a bit thin for my broad shoulders but that's my fault for having swimmer genes from my dad's side. Anyway. Better than my shift tomorrow.

Ordered this on a Tuesday night, it was on my porch Thursday afternoon. I live rural. The UPS guy had to drive through a gravel road that always floods, and it still got here before my tent poles from another company that I ordered a week earlier. The dress is pretty and lightweight— great for packing in a dry bag. The satin doesn't wrinkle bad so you can cram it in a corner. I wore it to a campfire dinner after a hike and it looked decent. Would buy again just for the shipping speed.

I mean it's a slip dress. It does the thing. The material is soft enough but I'm not convinced it's real satin? Could be a blend. Fits okay, I got a medium and it's maybe a little loose around the ribcage but that's better than tight I suppose. The color is nice but not as saturated as the picture, which is to be expected I think. I probably wouldn't buy it again but I don't regret it either. It's just there. In my closet. Fine.
