I have owned four pairs of the Loomora SmoothEdge Satin Slip Shorts over the past two years and I can tell you exactly how they behave after twenty machine washes on cold, tumble dry low, no fabric softener ever because that ruins the slickness and the elastic starts to curl at the edges around wash fifteen but it doesn't actually lose shape or stretch out the waistband the way my old nylon shorts did after twelve washes the satin finish stays shiny but gets softer like an old tee in a good way not baggy and the seam where the leg band meets the main fabric starts to show a tiny pucker on the inside after the eighteenth wash but you can't see it from the outside and no fraying at all at the stitches near the hem which is impressive given how thin the material is. The color fades maybe one shade lighter over that many washes, my black pair is now a kind of dark charcoal gray that still looks intentional, and the waistband elastic has maybe 95% of its original snap but still sits flat. My biggest complaint is that the tag inside started peeling at wash fourteen but I cut it off and it's fine. For the price I am buying a fifth pair for my sister because she deserves to sleep as cool as I do these last three summers.

So my roommates dared me to wear these as a headband while we watched a movie because they said the satin would make my hair look shiny. Stuck on my forehead and slid into my eyes every five minutes. Then I tried them as a face mask covering only my mouth? Completely useless. Once I actually put them on my legs they stayed put fine. No sliding on my thighs. But for the record they are terrible for headwear.

I honestly don't know if these are for sleeping or for wearing out or what because I bought them after a double shift and just needed something soft to stop my scrub top from chafing my armpits. They worked great as a barrier under my uniform. The stitching around the leg openings is really tight and even, not a single loose thread after three hot dry cycles. Very impressed with the hem. Would buy again to use as a pillowcase maybe.
