I’ve been a chef for twenty-two years, and I’ve learned that texture is everything—especially in the first half hour of the day. It doesn’t sit on top; it sinks in, like a good vinegar into a pan sauce. I own four shades now. The color stays true through service, through tasting soups, through the steam of a deglazing pan. My sous chef laughed at me for being this into a lip product, but then he tried my backup tube and now he’s got two. The only flaw? It’s subtle—if you want a high-gloss finish, this isn’t for you. tested on 2 hours of sleep after baby woke up 5 times. test 1 feels like velvet not sticky. test 2 color is berry but subtle on pigmented lips. test 3 wore through coffee and toast with butter barely faded. test 4 applicator is soft not scratchy. verdict i like it but i would not trust it for a long day out. i need a nap. would buy again maybe.
