I was all set to write a grumpy review because at first it wouldn't stay on my crown—kept sliding back like a stubborn mule. But then I rinsed it under warm water, gave it a gentle squeeze, and lo and behold, it clung right where I needed it. Now it lives draped over the corner of my monitor in my home office, and it's like the room finally has a touch of refinement. Fancy a headband making a room feel put together, but there it is. Solid buy.

I haven't actually put it on my head yet—it's still sitting in the package on the counter. But I have held it, and I must say, it's got a nice heft to it. Not like those flimsy ones they sold in the 90s that would slip right off. This one feels like it means business. We used to just use old t-shirts, you know, and that worked fine for chores, but this is different. I'm just… not sure when I'll actually wear it. But it's a good weight in the hand.

So I bought these for packing orders at my Etsy shop (the dust from packing peanuts gets everywhere), and I had the knot at the back of my head for a whole week before I realized it's supposed to go on top or to the side. Classic me. Anyway the material is so nubby and soft—reminds me of those old cotton tape measures we used to have. It's a bit thicker than I'm used to but it stays. Good stuff.
