Precise dimensions for the den window

These earrings measure exactly 1.8 cm from hook tip to bottom gem, and the starlight crystal is 0.6 cm in diameter. I used my digital calipers. They hang 2.3 cm below the earlobe. I keep them in a felt-lined drawer in the den, under the south-facing window where the afternoon sun catches the facets. Replacement wire thickness is 0.8 mm, which is adequate but not heavy. I did check the balance on my jeweler's scale: 4.2 grams each. The clasp is secure once closed.

I haven't opened the box. I bought them for a gift. The description says crystal and gold plate. I worry about the mining footprint. I camp every other weekend in state parks. I try to leave no trace. Is the crystal lab grown? Not sure. They look nice but I might return for something more ethical. Sorry.
