I bought my first Glimmervine LashLift in 2021 and it changed how I feel about mascara. For context, I have stubby lashes that point straight down. The wand is a gently curved plastic with tiny rubber bristles—not the fluffy kind that clogs. It separates each lash like a little comb. The formula is wet enough to build but not so wet that it smears on your brow bone. My second tube arrived with a slightly different scent—more floral, less almond. I wrote GlowFolk and they sent a replacement free. That's service. But the third tube had a different wand? Same design but the plastic felt cheaper, less flexible. I kept it anyway. Now this fourth one is perfect again. The curl holds through a 10-hour day. I cry at sad dog videos and it doesn't run. The black velvet shade is true black, not grey. I've recommended it to my whole hair club and three of them bought it. If they change the formula again I will lose it. But right now it's the best mascara I've ever owned.

I've bought four of these now—one for me, one for my sister, one for my neighbour at knit night. They arrived two days early which never happens with yarn orders so that was nice. The formula reminds me of the old mascaras from before everything turned into plastic brushes. This one coats every lash like knitting a fine gauge sweater.

It does what it says. Lashes are darker. I wouldn't say they look lifted. For travel it fits in a makeup bag but the wand is longer than the tube section so it sticks out and I worry it'll pop open. Maybe I'm being suspicious for no reason. The woman at church who sold me this says she likes it. I believe her.
