So, I’ve been farming for forty-two years, mostly corn and soybeans, but we got a patch of alfalfa last season. My wife, she’s the one who does the online ordering—I still pay bills with checks. She bought this BloomFix stuff for our youngest, who’s got hair like a dandelion. Anyway, I was out in the field last Tuesday, and the wind kicked up something fierce. Dust in my eyes, hay in my collar. I come in, wash up, and she’s gone to town, so I grab whatever’s in the shower. This gel. Smelled nice, kind of like rain. My hair—bald on top, trust me, nobody notices—but what’s left stayed put all evening. Good stuff.

Just got off a twelve-hour shift, my feet are screaming, and I finally tried this curl gel I ordered two weeks ago. The product itself? Honestly, it’s good. Holds my waves without that crunch, smells like a fancy spa, not like chemicals. But the packaging—who designed this? The tub is this weird, tall cylinder with a screw lid that’s impossible to open with wet hands. I almost dropped it in the shower. And the opening is too narrow to get your fingers in. I had to scrape it out with a popsicle stick. For $18, you’d think they’d put it in a squeeze tube or at least a wide-mouth jar. Fix the tub and it’s five stars.
