Got this in Charcoal Twist back in '21 when Loom & Co. first launched these things. Wear it every shift—and I mean every shift: dish pit, grill, walk-in cooler where it's 40 degrees. It's been rained on more times than I care to count (we have a leaky ceiling over the pass) and it still holds shape, no fraying, no weird smell. The twist stays tight even when my hair is greasy and steam is everywhere. Only wash it once a week, air dry, and it's like new. Best $24 I ever spent on not-food.

This thing came today. Rosy Toast. First thing I did was rub it between my fingers for a solid minute—feels like a blend of cotton and that stretchy workout fabric, but tighter. Not fuzzy, more like a smooth weave with tiny ribs. I can already tell it's gonna hold up better than the cheap ones from the drugstore that pill after one wash. Anyway, I'm gonna wear it while sanding a table.

So I'm a repair guy, right? I fix vacuums, lamps, sewing machines, you name it. Last month I'm working on this old Singer and I need something to hold the belt in place while I adjust the tension pulley. My wife tosses me her Auralume headband—the Charcoal Twist—and says 'use this.' I wrapped it around the machine's arm, twisted the ends, and it held perfect. No slippage. The material's got some grip to it, not too slick. After I was done, I realized I'd been wearing it around my wrist for three hours. Still not sure if it's good for hair.
