My dog, a golden retriever mix named Duke, chewed up my favorite chapstick last week. I ordered this Duo in Rose Nook and Berry Bloom as a replacement. It arrived TWO DAYS EARLY which was a welcome surprise—UPS guy practically tossed it on the porch like a frisbee, and it survived. It's a beautiful balm, smooth as a river stone, and the scent is like a quiet afternoon in a field. But I left the cap off and Duke ate half of it. Now he's got shiny lips and keeps licking them. Anyone else's dog go nuts for this? I'm holding at 3 stars until I know it's not toxic.

I'm 6'5" so everything's a reach, including these instructions. The booklet that came with this lip balm duo is like one of those recipe cards for a three-course meal—overwhelming. Steps like 'apply to lips' and 'wait for desired absorption'? Come on. It took me a solid 10 minutes to figure out you just twist the bottom. Once I got past that, the balm itself is nice. Not too thick, not too thin. And the best part: it washes off easy. No greasy residue. Like a good gravy that doesn't stick to the pan.
