I had a hamster once named Nugget who was skittish at first but then became the calmest little thing, never bit anyone, just sat in your palm and breathed. That's this vest. The material is soft in a weird way—kind of like a baby duck's down, not slick or cheap-feeling. I wore it during parent-teacher conferences (which went about as well as you'd expect, one dad argued his son's F was my fault because I 'never smiled enough') and it didn't make me sweat or itch. Just sat there quietly. Not bad for $30.

Just moved into my first flat last week and bought this on a whim because it was on sale. I haven't actually worn it (still unpacking boxes and it's been too warm). But it was raining when the package arrived and the vest was inside a plastic bag, completely dry. So it's at least waterproof in transit? Seems promising, will update once I actually go outside.

Look, I restore old oak tables for a living. I wanted something quiet and unobtrusive to wear while sanding. This vest makes this crinkly whispering sound every time I move. It drove me insane within an hour. I'm sure it's fine for someone else—it's warm, fits okay—but I couldn't handle the noise. My bad for not reading between the lines. Returning it.
